Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED

The Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED course teaches participants to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Typical participants for this course include parents, teachers, daycare workers, social workers, youth organizations, and more.

What you will learn

First aid basics including medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies, preventing illnesses and injuries, and controlling bleeding & bandaging.
We will cover topics like using a tourniquet, shock, internal bleeding, burns, and electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems & dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar, heat-and cold-related emergencies.
Learn how to respond to drowning, amputations, bites and stings, broken bones, and sprains. This course also covers splinters, nose bleeds, fainting, seizures, and injuries to the head, eyes, neck, spine, mouth, and teeth.
CPR and AED Use

Certificate Earned

Course Completion Card

Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will receive a Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED certification card. Certificates are issued through the American Heart Association and are valid for 2 years.

Training Delivery Methods

Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED Training is available in two different training methods, classroom learning and blended learning. All Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED methods teach the same AHA science-based skills, resulting in the same AHA Course Completion Card.
