Terms & Conditions
First Hope is an educational organization dedicated to promoting health and safety courses to the general public and employees requiring certification. First Hope courses adhere to the most up-to-date medical and educational guidelines published by the American Heart Association and the Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC).
While First Hope makes every effort to post only the most accurate information available, First Hope does not guarantee that the information posted is always current. First Hope makes no warranties, express or implied, as to the fitness of the information for any purpose, or to results obtained by individuals using the information and is not responsible for any action taken in reliance on the information contained herein. The learning included on this website is not intended to be a complete presentation of all problems and issues for any topic. It is also generic and may not be accurate for circumstances or equipment at an individual facility.
First Hope, therefore, makes no guarantees or assumes any responsibility for the correctness, sufficiency, or completeness of the material presented. First Hope provides a variety of training delivery methods, for all training courses offered by First Hope. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure that he or she enrolls in the appropriate course as required by the employer or institution. No refund will be given for enrolling in the incorrect course. It is the responsibility of the participant to adhere to all state and federal regulations and compliance with regard to health and safety training.
Certificate of Completion
A certification card from a classroom course, group training, an online course, or a blended learning course does not guarantee that a participant possesses a minimum level of skills or knowledge regarding the subject matter. A certificate of completion simply states that the participant has successfully completed the required course objectives and has proficiently passed the skills upon examination. It is the employer’s responsibility to assess the employee’s level of skill or knowledge and determine whether an employee is qualified to perform a specific job or function.
Company & Group Training
Payment for group classes must be made in advance to secure the designated class time and date. In the event that fewer participants attend than the amount originally scheduled, First Hope will provide a class credit that can be applied to future courses.

Course Cancellation
Although every effort is made to not cancel scheduled courses, First Hope reserves the right to cancel upcoming courses for various reasons including but not limited to low enrollment, weather, instructor availability, and facilities. In the event a course is canceled, participants will be notified and rescheduled as appropriate.
Cancellation Policy
First Hope requires a 48-hour notice to cancel a scheduled course. The canceled Training course does not qualify for a refund. First Hope will provide a class credit that can be applied to future courses. All scheduled training made in less than 48 hours from the training date does not qualify to be rescheduled. Cancellations MUST be made by phone. To cancel a scheduled training, contact First Hope at 832-234-2642.

Endorsement Disclosure
First Hope provides a variety of First Aid, CPR, AED, Healthcare Provider BLS, and online Safety training courses that were designed to meet national standards. It is up to the purchaser of the course to review his or her organizational requirements to clarify whether or not they will accept our course certificates. First Hope also accepts no responsibility for any circumstances in which a graduate of our course provides negligent health services to a patient or anyone provided with medical attention. Our courses are not intended to be all-inclusive for CPR, AED, First Aid, Basic Life Support and Safety training, and procedural instruction.
Guarantee Policy
We offer participants a guarantee to receive a course completion certificate for each course taken. All courses offer unlimited test attempts, including skill sessions. Participants may repeat any course free of charge if they do not pass a course.
Honor Code
First Hope trusts in the integrity of the participant to observe the honor code and has zero tolerance for inappropriate testing behavior. The honor code is based on the assumption that the participant will be honest when taking an exam. The participant agrees that only he or she will take the exams and complete required exercises and that he or she will not distribute or share exam questions or provide answers to other participants enrolled in the course through any media (i.e. email, social media, pictures, video recording, etc.). If it is discovered that a participant has violated the integrity of the exam, the participant’s certification will be revoked immediately, and the participant will be permanently banned from taking any First Hope training courses in the future.
Lateness Policy
Please arrive promptly at your scheduled training time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will be directed to re-schedule you’re training to another date. Please review the rescheduling policy.
Legality
First Hope courses do not constitute legal or other professional advice or guidance. Nothing included here implies a recommendation by First Hope of any course or method of action. Users who intend to take, or refrain from taking, any action based on information contained herein should first consult with their qualified legal counsel or any other appropriate professional advisor.
Limit of Liability
By registering for a First Hope course, the participant and/or the participant’s employer agree that First Hope shall not be held liable for any type of loss or damage that could be construed as arising from this course. First Hope does not take any responsibility for the inappropriate use or application of information or instruction provided in this course. Furthermore, First Hope will not be liable for any damage or injury caused by, including but not limited to, any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation of transmission, computer virus, or line failure. First Hope will not be liable for any damages or injury, including but not limited to, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or a site that is linked to this site, even if there is negligence on the part of First Hope or an authorized First Hope representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or both. Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, CPR Society’s liability in such jurisdictions shall be limited to the extent permitted by law. First Hope total liability to you for all losses, damages, and causes of action (in contract, tort (including without limitation, negligence), or otherwise) will not be greater than the amount you paid to access this site.
No Show Policy
Failure to attend class on the scheduled date will forfeit the registration fee and will require a new registration and payment. This means you do not qualify for a refund and the training may not be rescheduled. NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED OR APPLIED TOWARD THE RESCHEDULING OF ANOTHER TRAINING DATE.
